Everything you need to know about our climbing services
Do I need any previous climbing experience?
Not at all! Our beginner courses are designed for complete novices. We'll teach you everything from basic knots to movement techniques in a safe, supportive environment. Many of our clients have never touched a rope before their first session with us.
What equipment do I need to bring?
We provide all technical climbing equipment including ropes, harnesses, helmets, and protection. You just need to bring appropriate clothing (layers recommended), sturdy walking boots, waterproofs, and a packed lunch. We'll send you a detailed kit list when you book.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety is our top priority. If conditions are unsafe, we'll either move to a more sheltered location or reschedule your session at no extra cost. We monitor weather forecasts closely and will contact you 24 hours before your session if changes are needed.
Are your instructors qualified?
Yes, all our instructors hold current qualifications from recognised bodies such as the Mountain Training Association. They also maintain first aid certifications and undergo regular skills assessments. Many have additional specialisms in areas like winter climbing or rescue techniques.
What age groups do you cater for?
We welcome climbers from age 8 upwards. Our youth programmes are specifically designed for ages 8-17, while adult courses cater for 18+. We also offer family sessions where parents and children can learn together. There's no upper age limit - we've had clients in their 70s!
Can you accommodate dietary requirements or disabilities?
Absolutely. Please let us know about any dietary requirements, medical conditions, or accessibility needs when booking. We'll work with you to ensure everyone can participate safely and enjoyably. Our instructors have experience working with a wide range of abilities and requirements.
